Seafair Carnival is Back Bigger & Better
Garry Moore Entertainment to the rescue
Oct. 6 – Special Opening just for the carnival, Oct. 7-9 is Seafair!
(ROCKPORT, TX October 2022) — The carnival is back and ready to give clean family fun at the 47th annual Rockport-Fulton Seafair Oct. 7-9! A special opening night just for the carnival will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6.
Garry Moore Amusements has stepped in to provide the carnival. They will be traveling in from Kansas just to sandwich four-days for Seafair attendees. Last year, just weeks before the event, festival organizers were given notification the usual carnival would not be able to make it due to circumstances brought on by the pandemic. That carnival had faithfully been the carnival for Seafair for more than 40 years.

Armbands will be $25 at the Carnival or pre-sale will be available for $20 at the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center after Aug. 1 with cash or check only.
Seafair Planning Committee Meeting Regularly
To serve on the Seafair Planning Committee is taken seriously by the more than 20 chairmen who volunteer their time a full four to five months prior to the festival, not to mention non-stop work the week of the event. Areas such as grounds, vendors, entertainment, tickets, sponsorships, gates, marketing, and others take lots of logistical coordination. The chairmen serve because of their loyalty to the event, the Chamber and their Community. The chairmen do this to bring you a fun weekend and also bring a boost to our local economy. If anyone is wishing to serve on the committee, please contact the Chamber as soon as possible.
About Rockport-Fulton Seafair
Rockport-Fulton Seafair will be celebrating its 47th year. Opening Ceremonies for Seafair begin with a ribbon cutting as gates open Friday, Oct. 7. Seafair offers a weekend filled with live entertainment. On Friday Cory Morrow Band, an array of Texas legends singing “Whiskey and Pride” and more. On Saturday, step back and watch the Seafair Parade. Festival attendees can also enjoy hilarious crab races, a cardboard boat race, a gumbo contest, just desserts contest, and live entertainment by local and regional performers throughout the weekend. Arts and Crafts and Seafair Market Place will showcase more than 100 vendors. A boat and car show will be featured during the festival.
