August 19, 2022- COVID-19 UPDATE FOR ARANSAS COUNTY, TEXAS

Our community risk level is currently HIGH.

According to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reporting system as of Friday August 19, 2022, Aransas County has experienced a total of 3817 COVID-19 confirmed cases since the beginning of the recording process, 1164 probable cases and 91 fatalities.

Vaccines are available for ages 6 months and up at all pharmacies in Rockport and at Allegiance EMS, 400 Enterprise Blvd #B, Rockport, TX, every Monday from 10am – 2pm. Vaccine booster shots are available for ages 5 and up.

Recommended actions based on current risk level:

• Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines.
• Get tested if you have symptoms.
• Wear a mask if you have symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19. You may choose to wear a mask at any time as an additional precaution to protect yourself and others.
