The first public hearing hosted by the Coastal Bend Council of Governments on the Method of Distribution for HUD CDBG monies was held today in Aransas County at the Aquarium Education Center.
They will host an additional meeting in Port Aransas later today.
Aransas County Judge C.H. Burt Mills stated, “This is an important step forward in the recovery process. We need even more funding for the infrastructure category in the housing plan, but of course we welcome this first wave of critically needed dollars. Public participation and comments on this important funding source will assist everyone i
nvolved in this vital process.”
