Lost or missing pet? Here are some quick tips!
Contact Aransas County Animal Care at 361-790-0151 during business hours and give the dispatcher your contact information and brief reason as to why you are calling. They will let us know you have called; and we will contact you back as soon as possible to complete a detailed lost animal report. You may also schedule a time to come out to the shelter and take a walk though to see if your pet is currently at our shelter.
Visit these Facebook Pages to post about your missing pet. Be sure to include, if possible, a way for the public to contact you. Include the neighborhood or street the pet went missing from; and include a picture or detailed description of your missing pet.

Paws and Claws Assistance Program
We here at Aransas County Animal Care Services are excited to introduce our new assistance program, Paws and Claws, which was specifically designed to support pet owners in need. This initiative aims to provide essential resources such as food, veterinary care, and other supplies to help ensure that pets remain healthy and well-cared for during times of financial difficulty. Recognizing the deep bond between people and their pets, we are committed to alleviating some of the stress that comes with economic hardship. We invite all eligible pet owners to take advantage of this support, as we work together to ensure that every pet receives the care and attention they deserve.
  1. All applications must have a supporting document to verify the financial need of that household.
  2. Please note that not all services may be approved for assistance and any service request is on a case by case approval.
  3. Some services may be approved for only one pet per household, depending on services needed.
  4. Rabies vaccines and Microchips will be required for any animal that receives services (Unless otherwise already current)
  5. Any application for assistance requests shall require spaying/neutering of pet depending on service requested. (Unless already completed.)
  6. On a case by case request any emergency services needed for the pet will be subject to a limited amount that is discussed between Aransas County Animal Care and the ACAC approved Veterinarian. Please note that emergency services may result in the owner of the animal paying for a portion of the vet bill. (any follow up visits to the vet will be the financial responsibility of the owner of the pet)
Your many generous donations have been instrumental in bringing the Paws and Claws program to life. Your support has made a significant impact, and we're incredibly grateful to the community for their commitment to helping the animals of Aransas County. To continue providing valuable services and achieving our goals, we rely on ongoing contributions. If you are able, please consider donating to help us sustain and enhance our program by clicking the donate button above, or in person at Aransas County Animal Care.
